Job Summary
PRN Psychiatric Technician I provides direct care to psychiatric research participants in clinical trials. Responsibilities include observing and reporting changes in subjects, de-escalating agitation, assisting with ADL, meals, and meal prep, laundry and housekeeping tasks, medication dispensing if properly certified, and communicating with the physician and nursing staff. Must adhere to FDA CFR, ICH, GCP, CenExel SOPs, protocol, and policies. On-site evenings and weekends with schedule from 3:00 pm to 11:30 PM and weekends as needed. Requires effective verbal and written communication and professional boundaries.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years experience working with persons with major mental illnesses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression) in inpatient/acute care settings is preferred
- Prior medical experience is preferred but not required
