Job Summary
Assist under RN/LPN in individualized patient care on the Cardiac Med Intermediate (PCU) unit; provide designated clinical and non-clinical duties to support patient wellness. Unit handles cardiac patients with acute respiratory needs; fast-paced environment requiring strong assessment skills and teamwork. 24 hours per week, nights, on Mercy Hospital Jefferson’s PCU in Festus, MO. Ideal candidates may have EMT/Paramedic or CNA CPCT experience; BLS required within 1 month of hire; competency training within 3 months. Physical requirements include regular lifting up to 50 pounds and ability to stand/walk for shift. Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in healthcare career program
- BLS Certification within 1 month of hire
- Completion of PCT competencies within 3 months of hire
- Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Detail-oriented patient care on PCU with cardiac/respiratory patients
