Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech performs delegated functions as a member of the patient care team to provide a variety of services that meet health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time-management skills, analytical and critical thinking abilities, and detail-oriented approach to meet strict time frames. Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA/ARC (online cert not acceptable). Preferred qualifications include prior patient care experience and completion of related health-field education (e.g., medical assistant program, EMT certification).
