Job Summary
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. Responsibilities include sanitizing and cleaning patient rooms, monitoring vital signs, assisting with feeding and grooming, aiding mobility, reporting changes to the nurse, maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR, and supporting hand-offs. The role emphasizes patient comfort, interpersonal communication, and ensuring safety and independence where possible. Shift is nights (7PM-7AM), full-time with flexible scheduling; EPIC EHR training is preferred. Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC)
- CNA Certified Nurse Aide, OR Nurses Aide state testing or completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
