Job Summary
Provide basic patient care including vital sign measurement, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance using therapeutic transfer techniques. Monitor patient health, sanitize patient rooms, and act as a liaison to report changes or concerns to the nurse. Document care accurately, participate in hand-offs, and perform delegated tasks after competency validation. Foster patient independence by encouraging self-care and individualizing care based on patient interests. Maintain high-level customer service for patients, families, and staff. Requires BLS certification and nursing aide training; schedule includes evening/night shifts with 36 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program
- Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC)
- CNA Certified Nurse Aide
- Nurses Aide state testing
- Completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for the setting in which they are applying
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
