Job Summary
Monitor patients' health and vital signs, assist with mobility, feeding, and grooming, and provide basic hygiene and comfort care under nurse guidance. Sanitize patient rooms, perform delegated tasks after competency validation, and mobilize patients using therapeutic transfer techniques. Act as a liaison to report changes or concerns, provide accurate documentation, and participate in hand-off reports. Engage with patients and families to foster independence while maintaining high-level customer service. Requires BLS certification, nursing aide training or CNA license, and recent acute care or home health experience. Schedule includes 24 weekly hours in nights (7pm–7:30am) at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program
- Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC)
- CNA Certified Nurse Aide
- Nurses Aide state testing
- Completed a nursing program that had one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for the setting in which they are applying
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
