Job Summary

Perform basic care skills under direct supervision including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, and documentation. Assist licensed nurses with personal hygiene, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, and psychosocial support. Complete ordered blood glucose checks, turn and reposition patients every two hours, and respond promptly to call lights. Deliver meal trays, document intake, and manage soiled linens and trash. Conduct shift start reporting at 6:00 AM and complete handoff reports before leaving. Work full-time or PRN shifts in a long-term acute care setting specializing in transitional care for medically complex patients.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current BLS
  • Certification (Certified Nursing Assistant for State of Missouri)
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to work 3 shifts a week
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 1 shift every 2 weeks
  • Must be able to work Day shifts
  • Must be able to work Night shifts
  • Must be able to work PRN shifts
