Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech performs delegated functions as a member of the patient care team to provide a variety of services that contribute to meeting health care, safety and comfort needs of patients, in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Minimum qualifications include BLS certification; preferred qualifications include prior patient care experience and completion of education in a related health field (e.g., medical assistant program, EMT). Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management and prioritization, analytical and critical thinking skills; detail-oriented with ability to meet strict timeframes. Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross.
