Patient Care Tech - Palliative Care Unit - PT

Part-time Patient Care Tech in the Palliative Care Unit delivering basic nursing care and support.Responsibilities include taking vitals (blood pressure, oxygen levels, temperature), assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, meals, toileting, ambulation), and providing one-on-one care when needed. Role involves documentation in EMR, patient transport, supply management, and participation in unit quality and governance activities. May include phlebotomy and nonsterile wound care dressings (competency appropriate); may support admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred; BLS-HCP required within 6 months of hire. Orientation and competency validation are mandatory. Ability to work daytime hours with weekend/holiday rotation; exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials; fast-paced environment with clinical teamwork and patient-family interactions.
