Job Summary
Collect and transport specimens, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform bladder scans and point-of-care testing. Assist patients with hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation while conducting hourly rounds and documenting care data. Monitor telemetry, manage saline locks and urinary catheters, and respond promptly to call lights. Support the care team with post-mortem care, safety checks, and environmental hazard reporting. Manage admissions via the Electronic Bed Board, screen incoming calls, and facilitate advance directive documentation. Complete annual training, participate in performance improvement activities, and maintain unit readiness for EMR downtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the state of Illinois CNA Registry OR Nursing student who have successful completed one clinical rotation
- Must provide written verification of successful completion of said rotation
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must complete an authorization and disclosure form for background check
- Must adhere to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program
- Must comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards
