Job Summary
Provide patient care on a 24-bed Med-Surg unit under licensed clinical supervision, assisting with IV starts, bedside procedures, wound care, and management of NGTs, chest tubes, and central lines. Administer blood transfusions and care for post-op, cardiac telemetry, and complex medical conditions including orthopedic and bariatric patients. Maintain BCLS certification upon hire; CNA certification and Patient Care Technician program certification are preferred. Part-time night shift with RN-to-PCT ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:9.
Required Qualifications
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Desired Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
- Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred
