Patient Care Tech- Medical Surgical (PRN)

PRN Patient Care Tech in Medical-Surgical unit provides nonprofessional direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Duties include observing and reporting patient changes, assisting with admission/transfer/discharge, recording vital signs and intake/output, assisting with hygiene and comfort measures, specimen collection, maintaining a clean safe environment, coordinating with licensed staff, and performing administrative tasks. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Prior patient care experience preferred. Work involves exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases, and may include protracted or irregular hours.
