Job Summary
Collect and transport specimens, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform bladder scans. Discontinue saline locks and indwelling urinary catheters, while assisting patients with hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation. Conduct hourly patient rounding, document care data, and respond to call lights. Perform post-mortem care, maintain visual observation as a safety attendant, and manage admissions through the Electronic Bed Board. Screen incoming calls and facilitate advance directive documentation. Complete annual training and participate in performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the state of Illinois CNA Registry OR Nursing student who have successful completed one clinical rotation
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must provide written verification of successful completion of said rotation
- Must complete an authorization and disclosure form for background check
- Must comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards
- Must adhere to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program
