Job Summary
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while completing appropriate forms. Provide direct hygiene, mobility assistance, and food and fluid support for adult and geriatric populations. Obtain and record vital signs, perform finger stick blood glucose monitoring, and maintain a safe environment through cleaning and pressure ulcer prevention. Complete documentation accurately according to hospital policies. Adhere to standard precautions and infection control standards while respecting cultural, ethical, and religious diversity. Requires current Nurse Assistant certification, BLS certification, and high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Nurse Assistant certification by the State of Illinois
- documentation of previous Nurse Assistant certification within the past 5 years
- documentation of on the job training in a patient care setting equivalent to nurse assistant training
- BLS certification
