Job Summary
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while completing appropriate forms. Provide direct care including hygiene, mobility assistance, and food and fluid needs. Obtain and record vital signs, perform finger stick blood glucose monitoring, and maintain a safe environment through cleaning and pressure ulcer prevention. Document care accurately according to hospital policies and adhere to standard precautions and infection control standards. Support patient rights and cultural diversity while working full-time days. Requires current Nurse Assistant certification and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Nurse Assistant certification by the State of Illinois
- documentation of previous Nurse Assistant certification within the past 5 years
- documentation of on the job training in a patient care setting equivalent to nurse assistant training
- BLS certification
