Patient Care Tech, Med Surg, 32 Hour, Days

Provide patient care under the direction of licensed clinicians in a Med Surg unit. Responsibilities include clear communication to RNs about patient observations, constant observation of high‐risk patients, maintaining a safe environment, assisting with activities of daily living, and helping move/position/transport patients using safe body mechanics. Perform vital signs, take/record measurements, and assist with tests such as EKGs and POC checks. Demonstrate medical terminology knowledge, basic computer skills, English proficiency, and strong interpersonal skills to support collaborative care and patient safety. Adhere to standards of respect and participate in unit activities and quality improvement, with a typical 8-hour day schedule and 32 hours per week.
