Job Summary
Patient Care Technician II sought to support a decentralized patient-centered approach. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT measures and documents vital signs, identifies patient concerns and reports them to the care team, and assists with moving, turning, or relocating patients to meet comfort and medical needs. Requires patience, empathy, and strong communication and organizational skills to interact with the Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse. Must be able to work in a hospital setting, with the ability to perform a range of physical tasks and adapt to rotating shifts. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; BLS certification must be maintained after hire. Roles span hospital operations including telemetry and medical center services, with opportunities to contribute across patient care and support services.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and maintained thereafter
