Job Summary
Welcome and assist patients with their health care needs, including rooming and supporting nursing and receptionist staff. Work under supervision of nurses, medical assistants, providers, and clinic leadership. Manage stress, handle multiple priorities, and make decisions under pressure while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety. Perform tasks requiring up to 50 lbs. occasional exertion and stand for 4-6 hours daily. Provide care across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Adhere to strict infection control protocols including use of gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS
- Manage stress appropriately
- Make decisions under pressure
- Manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately
- Handle multiple priorities
- Work alone
- Work in areas that are confined and/or crowded
- Exert up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
- Stand for 4-6 hours per day
- Sit for 2-3 hours per day
- Walk for 3-4 hours per day
- Perform repetitive tasks/motions
- Distinguish colors
- Hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice
- Have good manual dexterity
- Have good eye/hand/foot coordination
- Have clarity of vision: Mid (>20=-<20=)
