Job Summary
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care in a Hospice Oncology Unit, assisting with ADLs and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Performs delegated nursing care, demonstrates sterile/aseptic technique, records required patient information, and supports relationship-based care. Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am); full-time role with Every Other Weekend and 3 holidays per year. Requires high school diploma or GED; preferred candidates have direct care experience or completion of CENA/PCT/MA/EMT programs or nursing fundamentals for BSN students. Works with the RN to achieve treatment goals and contribute to compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.
