Job Summary
Under the direction of a registered nurse, the Patient Care Tech Hospice Oncology performs delegated nursing care to hospice oncology patients, assisting with ADLs, demonstrating sterile/aseptic technique as appropriate, and contributing to a clean, safe, and family-centered care environment. Responsibilities include recording patient information for documentation and charging, maintaining unit-specific workflows, and supporting relationship-based care to promote patient and family well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: Preferred minimum of one year of direct care experience (acute or long term) OR successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course OR student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program
