Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of RNs, assisting with admissions/transfers/discharges; monitor and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and perform newborn/hepatic/monitoring tasks as described; perform phlebotomy, EKG, capillary glucose checks, infant newborn care, and operate respiratory equipment; assist with pre/post-operative care, patient transport, and daily care activities including feeding, diaper/bed care, and safety measures; respond to calls and emergencies, document observations, and participate in quality improvement and routine staff activities; requires CNA certification or active nursing education with CPR/BLS, a high school diploma, and related healthcare experience preferred; strong emphasis on patient-first care and adherence to policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- CNA Certification or currently enrolled in School of Nursing who has successfully completed basic clinical rotations
- CPR recognition by the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- High school diploma
- One year of college or nursing education or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 90% correct on annual mandatory Health and Safety Training quizzes
- Unit based recognition for Capillary Blood Glucose Monitoring
