Job Summary
Conduct culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Provide direct support to nursing staff by assisting with feeding, positioning, basic hygiene, and oral care while operating medical equipment safely. Alert medical staff to patient condition changes and obtain EKG readings. Collect and transport specimens, monitor behavioral health patients one-on-one, and comply with safety and infection control initiatives. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, attend professional development programs, and provide basic clerical support. Requires a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and preferred venipuncture experience. Full-time 11a-11p shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma in General Studies or a GED state certification
- Certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS)
- Positive interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with venipuncture
- Experience with obtaining EKGs
