Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support while monitoring and recording vital signs accurately. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, perform basic wound care, and ensure patient safety by observing and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team. Maintain a clean, organized environment and support nurses with patient transport, positioning, and other clinical tasks during night shifts. Document care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team. Work rotating shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM as part of the Medical-Surgical unit at Palo Pinto General Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year PCT experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work full-time night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or EKG Technician credentials
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
