Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility transfers. Provide basic nursing care to acutely ill patients, ranging from supplying supplies to total care, while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Answer call lights, anticipate patient needs, and make rounds to observe mental and physical conditions, reporting pain or changes to nursing staff immediately. Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, and distribute water and snacks as applicable. Ensure pathways are clear to prevent injuries and document care according to current standards and policies. Work full-time days under the supervision of nursing staff, adhering to infection prevention procedures and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Current CNA certification in the state of Oklahoma
- Current BLS (or obtained within 30 days)
- Intact visual and auditory abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for bathing and a variety of examinations and procedures as needed
- One (1) year of clinical experience preferred
