Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information; communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information. 40 hours/week on the Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM) in an on-site setting at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and clinical experience (or successful completion of an intern program); CNA, MA, nursing student/LPN with nursing skills coursework, or EMT certification; BLS from AHA. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
- One year of clinical experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or one of the following: a nursing student or LPN who has completed fundamental nursing skills coursework, or an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- BLS certification provided by AHA
