Job Summary
Provide patient care support as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) on the Medical/Surgical unit. Responsibilities include basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, linen/clothing changes, hydration, ambulation, comfort measures), reporting data to the team, assisting in monitoring patients (possible telemetry), transporting medications to RN, coordinating unit activities, answering phones, transcribing physician orders, managing unit records, stocking supplies, and ensuring a safe environment. Requires CNA certification and BLS, with Utah-specific credentialing within set timelines; prior computer literacy and effective communication are essential. Full-time role with potential part-time availability; weekend/holiday requirements and shift differentials apply.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills
- CNA certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire (Utah-specific)
- Completion of a recent Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program (Utah)
- Official transcript required for CNA credentials (Utah)
- Fundamentals of Nursing Course with passing grade within past two years (Utah)
