Job Summary
Collect specimens, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform bladder scans while assisting patients with hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation. Conduct hourly patient rounding, document care data, and respond to call lights to support the clinical RN and physician. Monitor patient safety as a safety attendant or telesitter, manage admissions via the Electronic Bed Board, and screen incoming calls. Complete annual training, participate in performance improvement activities, and ensure unit readiness for EMR downtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the state of Illinois CNA Registry OR Nursing student who have successful completed one clinical rotation. Must provide written verification of successful completion of said rotation
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must provide written verification of successful completion of said rotation
