Job Summary
Collect and transport specimens, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform bladder scans while discontinuing saline locks and telemetry packs. Assist patients with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and positioning; respond to call lights and maintain visual observation for safety. Document patient care data, manage admissions via Electronic Bed Board, and facilitate advance directive collection. Perform post-mortem care, screen incoming calls, and ensure unit readiness for EMR downtime. Complete required training, participate in performance improvement activities, and monitor patient environmental hazards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the state of Illinois CNA Registry OR Nursing student who have successful completed one clinical rotation
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Must provide written verification of successful completion of said rotation
