Patient Care Tech - Cardiac Stroke Center (0.6 Eve/Night)

Patient Care Tech position at Mercy Cedar Rapids in the Cardiac Stroke Center. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides safe and effective patient care and supports documentation, handoffs, and communication with patients and families. Responsibilities include observing and communicating patient condition changes, maintaining accurate real-time documentation, protecting patient privacy, responding to emergencies within scope of practice, prioritizing daily tasks, and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Preferred qualifications include HS diploma or equivalent, CNA/Health Support Professional program completion or related academic progress, and current BCLS certification. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, effective communication (including across language/cultural barriers), and the ability to remain focused in stressful situations.
