Job Summary

Coordinate patient care, diagnostic procedures, and technical nursing treatments while supporting Tele-Companion and Tele-Tech programs. Collect and document vital signs, height, and weight in the electronic health record, perform basic treatments, and apply electrocardiography leads. Manage patient charting, pre-visit planning, intake, and scheduling of appointments, referrals, and lab tests. Maintain patient safety and satisfaction through standard precautions, dignity in care, and adherence to Bozeman Health delegation policies. Complete required competency assessments within three months of hire and demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and computer applications. Work in a busy environment requiring sound judgment, confidentiality, and adaptability to evidence-based practice.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Nurse Aide certification
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification
  • Prior work experience in health care
  • Prior education in or work experience with medical terminology
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be available for weekends and after-hours shifts
  • On-call availability
  • Must be able to work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek
  • Must be able to work in a busy and stressful environment
  • Must be able to handle emotionally challenging situations
  • Must be able to handle exposure to bloodborne pathogens
  • Must be able to handle exposure to radiation
  • Must be able to handle exposure to various chemicals and medications
  • Must be able to handle infectious diseases
  • Must be able to handle cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances
  • Must be able to perform fine-finger movements continuously
  • Must have close visual acuity
  • Must be able to learn new tasks and remember processes
  • Must be able to maintain focus and complete tasks independently
  • Must be able to make timely decisions
  • Must be able to utilize Standard Precautions
  • Must be able to maintain and promote patient satisfaction
  • Must be able to perform basic nursing care with dignity and respect
  • Must be able to collect and document patient information
  • Must be able to order necessary supplies
  • Must be able to perform designated basic treatments and procedures
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment
  • Must be able to exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to learn current and new computer applications and office equipment
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate adaptability to change based on evidence-based practice
