Patient Care Specialist - SBHC Webutuck

Provide patient-centered support as a Patient Care Specialist at the School Based Health Center in Amenia, NY. Responsibilities include recording chief complaints, medical history, vital signs, and basic tests (EKG, Spiro, rapid strep, urinalysis, pregnancy screening, A1C, glucose); assisting providers during examinations and tests; documenting in the electronic medical record and updating practice management systems; patient counseling and education on primary health care topics (HIV/STD prevention and treatment, health maintenance, and family planning); performing simple laboratory procedures and specimen collection; handling medical clerical duties (registration, scheduling, check-in/out, claims); coordinating care with school nurses, teachers, and parents (including translation as needed); maintaining confidentiality and a safe environment; potential travel to other SBHC sites; bilingual English/Spanish required; 1+ year Medical Assistant experience; high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.
