Patient Care Sitter AM

Provides constant observation and monitoring of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent injury; greets patients/visitors, explains purpose using the AIDET model; reports patient concerns to RN/Charge RN; calls for assistance when needed; performs patient care tasks within trained scope; assists patient to restroom and accompanies patient as needed; ensures patient safety by monitoring tubes/equipment and reporting disconnections; accompanies patient to diagnostic tests or transfers; uses appropriate patient handling equipment and maintains a safe environment; follows PPE and infection control policies; documents using unit technology; demonstrates Safe Patient Handling skills; works night shifts and adheres to hospital policies; scheduled weekly hours: 36; location: Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg WV.
