Job Summary
Design, implement, and sustain system structures for professional nursing practice and patient quality care. Assist in overseeing daily operations, short and long-range planning, fiscal management, and human resources while supervising various levels of personnel. Develop hospital policies and standards of care, establish operational objectives, and delegate tasks to the team. Coordinate quality patient safety standards, manage nursing services budgets, and analyze performance improvement activities. Lead nursing staff, manage house supervisors and contracted services, and act in the absence of the Patient Care Executive. Collaborate with department heads to deliver quality care and implement innovative delivery models to support patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing, business, or other healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Certification in Executive Nursing Practice Exam (CENP) or Nurse Executive (NE-BC) Certification or Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Ten years' technical experience
- Five years' leadership experience
- Leadership experience in an acute/inpatient hospital setting
