Job Summary
Patient Care Coordinator role in a Cancer Center environment. Under supervision of the Management team, coordinates assignments for a designated time frame and assists staff in providing patient care according to infusion center policies. Core duties include patient scheduling, answering phones, and obtaining insurance authorizations, along with clerical/administrative tasks. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of Medical Assistant Certification, and AHA BLS certification. Oncology experience and familiarity with EPIC and BEACON, plus Windows OS experience, are preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a busy setting are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent work experience
- AHA BLS required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification Course
- Recent 2 year on the job experience
- Preferred experience in oncology
- Preferred 2-3 years experience with Windows operating system and Windows based programs
