Patient Care Coordinator - Pineville Dermatology

Job Summary
Coordinate referrals and scheduling for dermatology patients; manage patient records, verify insurance, obtain authorizations for referrals/procedures, and ensure timely completion of physician orders. Schedule follow-up visits, transmit patient information and clinic notes to physicians and outside facilities, and communicate with patients regarding delivery-system access. Assist with assembling health information, lab/X-ray reports, and demographics, and support clinic operations across Tryon office locations (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm). Requires EHR and scheduling proficiency, strong customer service skills in person and by phone, vaccine/TB requirements, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma; some college preferred
- Minimum of one-year medical office or healthcare facility experience
- E.H.R. and Scheduling experience
- Experience serving customers in person and on the phone
- Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form will be required
- Completion of TB test will be required
- Ability to lift and support weight of 35 pounds
- Must be able to use computer for long periods of time
