Patient Care Coordinator- Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
Build relationships with assigned pharmacy patients by providing excellent customer service and meeting their healthcare needs. Communicate clearly with patients, doctors, hospitals, pharmacists, and staff both in person and on the phone. Accurately utilize pharmacy software to document patient notes, verify insurance, and maintain healthcare records. Work within a collaborative, family-like atmosphere supporting the Medication Care Management® program. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm in St. Petersburg, FL. Requires Florida Pharmacy Technician registration, high school diploma, and two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently registered in the state of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must have a High School Diploma
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Able to transcribe information and data accurately
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years relevant work experience in a pharmacy preferred
- Experience handing pharmacy insurance rejections and billing preferred
- Experience in a retail pharmacy environment preferred
