Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator oversees front desk operations to support clinic production and patient experience, ensuring appointments run smoothly, collecting billing and demographic information prior to services, educating patients on Peak Performance Physical Therapy services, and upselling appropriate services while adhering to payer guidelines and privacy regulations. Responsibilities include managing patient scheduling to maximize provider productivity, reducing no-shows and cancellations, converting referrals into evaluations, obtaining accurate billing and demographic information, collecting payments, and executing administrative tasks to support daily clinic operations. The role emphasizes proactive patient education on services and programs, compliance with healthcare regulations, and contributing to clinic revenue growth through service awareness and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Customer service experience in a patient-facing or healthcare environment
- Strong administrative skills including scheduling, coordination, and record-keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- HIPAA and other applicable privacy and confidentiality regulations
- Ability to work opening shifts and closing shifts to maximize business hour coverage
