Job Summary
Register patients and manage pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions, while preparing packets for procedures and obtaining documentation for billing. Process co-payments and payments, update medical records, and back up incoming calls to direct them appropriately. Perform nightly closing procedures and call patients for pre-registration notifications regarding copays and deductibles. Execute other clerical duties as assigned. Requires Microsoft Office proficiency, 40 wpm typing speed, and strong customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Customer service background
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
