Job Summary
Patient Care Coordinator at Northwest Specialty Hospital for the CDA Family Medicine Team. Responsibilities include medical clerical duties such as registration and pre-registration, preparing packets for procedures, facilitating billing and collections by obtaining appropriate documentation, processing co-payments and patient payments, updating medical records, backing up incoming calls, directing calls to the appropriate person or department, performing nightly clinic closing procedures, calling patients for pre-registration notifications including copays and deductibles, and other duties as assigned. Requires strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to type 40+ words per minute, excellent written and verbal communication, and prior clerical or medical office experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Customer service background
- Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
