Job Summary
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR at Northwest Specialty Hospital in the CDA Family Medicine Team. Responsible for medical clerical duties including registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient flow, preparing pre-registration packets for procedures, obtaining documentation to facilitate billing and collections, processing co-pays and payments, registering patients and updating medical records, backing up incoming calls, direct routing to appropriate departments, performing nightly closing procedures, calling patients for pre-registration notifications including copays and deductibles, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ability to type at least 40 words per minute, ability to relate and work effectively with others, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service background, and prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.
