Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator is the first impression when patients and guests arrive at InnovaCare Health facilities. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, managing the front desk workflow and providers' schedules, maintaining accurate registration, assisting with intake processes, collecting patient financial responsibilities (co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles), processing walk-in patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating interpreter services as needed, managing medical records and correspondence, handling cashier duties and deposits as required, and supporting the case manager with scheduling hospital follow-ups. The role requires strong customer service, communications, organization, familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding, proficiency with electronic health records, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinic setting. Occasional travel for clinic activities may be required, and compliance with E-Verify is noted in company information.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong customer service focus
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Teamwork orientation
- Organized with ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Expert in computer literacy in electronic health record (EHR)
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Basic mathematical skills
- Safe work practices in a clinic setting
- Able to follow through with delegated tasks
