Job Summary
Welcomes patients and visitors to the clinic and manages front-desk operations, including scheduling providers and managing the patient registration/processes. Responsibilities include keeping patients informed about delays, handling financial interactions (co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles), managing walk-ins and phone calls, coordinating intake and scheduling for follow-up care, handling medical records and releases, and assisting patients with problem-solving related to the healthcare system (including interpreters and transportation). The role supports a physician-led, coordinated-care model across multiple clinics, with emphasis on patient experience, timely service, and accurate documentation. E-Verify participation is part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications
- Welcomes patients and visitors upon arrival to the clinic
- Manages waiting room to ensure wait times are within 15-minutes of arrival
- Manages front desk workflow and communicates with MAs
- Manages providers schedule daily
- Maintains accurate registration by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Assists patients with problem solving potential issues related to healthcare system (interpreters, transportation, prescriptions)
- Assists patient with intake processes including scanning required documents
- Collects patient financial responsibilities (co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles)
- May manage cashier box and deposits
- Processes walk-in patients and greets, answers phones, schedules appointments
- May assist case manager with scheduling hospital follow-up
- Manages medical records (files/scans)
- Processes requests for medical records release
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
- Participation in E-Verify and Form I-9 verification
