Job Summary
Patient Care Coordinator II responsibilities include supporting clinic operations to achieve revenue goals by attracting new patients, managing front office functions (scheduling, billing, EMR data entry, patient demographics, insurance verification), and coordinating patient interactions. Responsibilities encompass greeting/registering patients, collecting and documenting payments, verifying benefits, scheduling and recapturing appointments, ensuring proper authorization and referrals, and maintaining accurate records in the EMR system. Additional duties include handling referrals, answering calls, processing forms, and maintaining a compliant, organized front desk environment. Requires strong customer service, data-entry skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, and CPR certification; High School Diploma or GED required with preferred associates-level coursework.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or college level business courses preferred
- 2 years of medical billing experience and medical terminology (HCFA 1500, CPT and ICD-9 codes) preferred
- Current CPR Certificate
