Job Summary
Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is an integral part of the clinical team, leading administrative excellence in the clinic. The PCC greets patients, schedules appointments, collects co-pays, relays insurance benefit information, and provides authorization details to patients. They maintain patient charts, assist with insurance benefit eligibility, explain benefits including authorization requirements, copays, and deductibles, and initiate appropriate collection activity per company policies. Additional duties include managing the answering system, directing patients and visitors, updating schedules, assisting therapists with faxing patient information, reviewing therapist schedules to fill openings, and generating essential reports and dashboards to ensure timely completion of tasks. The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail in medical records and billing processes, and the ability to communicate benefits clearly to patients. Compensation starts at $18/hour with benefits, and the posting notes at-location Cohasset, MA. The position supports a healthcare administration path with 2–3 years of related experience and a preferred associate degree in the field.
Required Qualifications
