Job Summary
Coordinate patient care by scheduling orders, verifying patient and payment information, and managing shipments for chronic and rare illness patients. Respond to inbound and outbound calls regarding medication orders, pharmacy services, and billing inquiries while resolving claims and complaints. Process orders received via fax, mail, or telephone, complete special handling duties including drug shipment notifications, and document all interactions with the appropriate team members. Contact pharmacists to alert them of condition changes, compliance issues, or side effects, and maintain professional relationships with home-care referral sources.
Required Qualifications
- CPhT
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Minimum two years medical or pharmacy experience
- Equivalent experience to the above
- At least 1 year in a call center type environment
- Similar customer service role experience
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance coverage
- Access to a reliable automobile
- Must possess the ability to multi-task
- Ability to frequently change direction
