Job Summary
Coordinate patient care activities by greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and processing payments while ensuring efficient exam room turnover. Send referrals, medical records, and obtain prior authorizations for MRIs, assisting providers in the exam room as needed. Collect and prepare lab specimens, triage patient communications, and document issues throughout the treatment day. Disinfect rooms, stock supplies, and manage hazardous materials in compliance with CDC guidelines and HIPAA. Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. CPR/BLS certification and 6 months clinical experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CPR/BLS
- 6 months of clinical experience
- Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
- Experience in obtaining prior authorizations
- Experience with eClinicalWorks
- Phlebotomy and lab processing skills
- 1 year in an administrative or customer service role
- A caring and compassionate personality
