Patient Care Coordinator - Dental Assistant

Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in a dental office, assisting the dentist in clinical procedures and providing dental treatment education to patients. Manage patient flow from reception to treatment areas, schedule appointments, and communicate treatment plans and insurance/options to patients. Maintain infection control and equipment protocols, ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality, and assist with laboratory duties as needed. Requires Expanded Duties Certificate and/or Radiography Certification at or within 90 days of hire; EFDA certification (or Florida RDA/CDA license obtained prior to 2009 per state guidelines) and radiography licensure are required. Prior dental experience and strong customer service skills are needed for a high-volume practice.
Required Qualifications
- Expanded Duties Certificate and/or Radiography Certification upon hire or within ninety (90) days after hire
- Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
- Radiography licensure
- Minimum of one-year dental experience preferred
