Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary
Provide quality care and attention to our patients, referring offices and team. Act as primary contact for assigned referring doctors. Assist patients in all phases of care and coordinate patient questions, treatment discussions, and follow-up for missed or unscheduled appointments. Contact patients prior to surgery to collect payment deposits and answer questions. Schedule surgical appointments according to practice goals, verify insurance, and maintain patient charts with signed forms. Back up to other staff (Reception, PCC, Scheduler, Finance, Manager). On-site essential to the function of the role, with a focus on excellent customer service, appointment coordination, and clear communication with patients and referring offices. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience in dental/medical insurance and basic math and accounting. This role supports clinical operations in a Maryland-based oral surgery practice with standard Monday–Friday office hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of dental and medical insurance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional voice inflection and direct eye contact
- Professional business attire, appearance, and phone etiquette
- Belief in practice treatment and fees
- Proficient in basic math and accounting skills
