Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and serve as primary contact for referring doctors in a dental practice. Assist patients in all phases of care, discuss treatment details, and follow up on missed or unscheduled appointments. Handle deposits prior to surgery, manage inbound calls, schedule surgical appointments, and verify insurance. Maintain patient charts, ensure forms are signed, respond to patient and staff questions, coordinate doctor meetings, and back up reception, PCC, scheduler, finance, and manager as needed. Must work on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–5:00PM. Requires strong customer service, MS Office proficiency, understanding of dental/medical insurance, and professional communication. Preferred experience in dental/healthcare and with WIN/OMS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of dental and medical insurance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional voice inflection and direct eye contact
- Professional business attire, appearance, and phone etiquette
- Belief in practice treatment and fees
- Proficient in basic math and accounting skills
