Job Summary
Associate Patient Care Coordinator, on-site in New York, NY, working 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Responsibilities include obtaining accurate patient information and insurance verification on the date of service, obtaining patient signatures for required documents, filing and maintaining medical records, scheduling and confirming appointments, handling front-desk duties (check-in/check-out, in-basket management), answering calls, complying with Optum guidelines and HIPAA/OSHA requirements, maintaining documentation and referrals, and collaborating with providers, medical assistants, nurses (RN/LPN), PSA, and echo techs to support patient care and satisfaction. The role requires healthcare experience (2 years), efficiency, strong communication, maturity, and reliability, with potential cross-site coverage as needed, and in-person work at the New York site. Interview in person (2 rounds).
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare experience 2 years
- Ability to obtain/verify patient information
- Ability to perform insurance verification on the date of service
- Ability to obtain patient signatures for required documents
- File, Fax and maintain medical records
- Answering telephone calls promptly and courteously
- Maintain front desk inbox and work queue
- Check In and Check Out patients
- Crosstrain and assist in other locations if needed
